Voices Of Heresy.

Christianity has always been a religion that is centered in Christ.Hank Hanegraaff in his book. “Christianity in Crisis” writes, “Influential teachers are utilizing the power of the airwaves as well as scores of books,tapes,and magazines to distort the biblical concept of the Creator and promote antibiblical doctrines that boggle the mind.The result is nothing less than a systematic subversion of the historic Christian faith.

Many who are members of our Southern Baptist churches listen,read,and watch these false prophets on television on a regular basis,[especially shut-ins}.Unfortunately it is quite possible that you will find some books written by these authors in Baptist libraries. I question why the Southern Baptist Convention is not doing more to expose and combat the so called “Positve Confession” or the “Word faith movement.” It would be a profitable study for the Mid-winter {Jan.Bible study} to Biblically confront these damndable,false doctrines. Is it possible that the SBC and local baptist pastors avoid exposing these errors because they are afraid of offending those in our churches who are devoted followers of this movement?”Consider some of the teachings and quotes of those in the “Word Faith “movement. These are documented in the book, “Christianity in Crisis.”

“Satan conquered Jesus on the cross.” Kenneth Copeland.

“You’re not looking at Morris Cerullo—–you’re looking at God. You’re looking at Jesus” Morris Cerullo.

“Never, ever, go to the Lord and say, ‘if it be Thy will…’ Don’t allow such faith destroying words to be spoken from your mouth.” Benny Hinn.

“God has to be given permission to work in this earth realm on behalf of man…Yes! You are in control! So, if man has control, who no longer has it? God.” Frederick Price.

“Some think that God made the earth out of nothing, but He didn’t. He made it out of something. The substance God used was…faith.He used His words as a carrier of that faith.” Charles Capps.

“When you get to the place where you take the Word of God and build an image on the inside of you not having crippled legs and not having blind eyes, but when you close your eyes you just see yourself just leap out of that wheelchair, it will picture that in the Holy of Holies you will come out of there. You will come out.” Kenneth Copeland.

On Mark.11:22, where we read, “Have faith in God,” Kenneth Copeland,in an attempt to prove his heresy that God has faith proclaims in his reference edition of the Bible,”Have faith in God,” or….”Have the faith of God.” Copeland, somehow goes from ‘have faith in God’ to ‘God has faith.’

Charles Capps,a disciple of Copeland in his booklet titled God’s creative power, he says of Mark.11:22.”A more literal translation of  {Mark.11:22} is ‘Have the God kind of faith, or faith of God…God is a faith God.

Benny Hinn claims that Job’s troubles came on him because he spoke words of fear and made accusations against God. Hinn describes Job as “carnal,” as “bad,” and asserts that Job’s “mouth was his biggest problem. In essence, Hinn says that Job tapped into the negative side of the force through his voluminious negative confessions.

Kenneth Hagin asserts, “Man…was created on terms of equality with God, and he could stand in God’s presence without any consciousness of inferiority…God has made us as much like Himself as possible…He made us the same class of being that He is Himself…Man lived in the realm of God. He lived on terms equal with God. {T}he believer is called Christ…That’s what we are; we’re Christ.”

Kenneth Copeland declares that “God’s reason for creating Adam was his desire to reproduce Himself…He was not a little like God.He was not almost like God. He was not subordinate to God even.”

Gloria Copeland (third wife of Ken Copeland) in her book “God’s will is Prosperity” comments on Mark.10:30. Here she springs the “hundredfold” on her constituents.Expanding on the promise of Jesus to provide a “hundredfold” return to those who leave everything behind for the kingdom, Gloria writes, “Give $10 and receive $1,000; give $1,000 and receive $100,000. I know that you can multiply, but I want you to see in black and white how tremendous the hundredfold return is.” Gloria explains further: Give one house and one hundred houses or one house worth one hundred times as much. Give one airplane and receive one hundred times the value of the airplane. Give one car and the return would furnish you a life time of cars. In short, Mark.10:30 is a very good deal.
