Committee on Committees Considers John the Baptist.

Chairman of committee on committees leads in discussion of names submitted for consideration.

Who is this John the Baptist?

Answer..His father was dumb for awhile and John was a hyper-active child before he was born.He was regenerated and filled with the Spirit while still in his mother’s womb. The word from the conservative¬† caucus is that he is not only hyper-active but he is also a hyper-Calvinist.

At one time John led the convention in baptisims, but after observing many “shallow conversions”turned multitudes away, calling them snakes and demanding that they repent before being baptized.

John seems to have a low self esteem. He does not have an impressive resume and testifies that he is a tail light, and not a head light.John is more concerned about decreasing than increasing.

Committee chairman replies,”In light of John’s unusual birth, early conversion, low self-esteem,radical dress, fiery temperment, and unimpressive credentials,I suggest that we move on to the next person.

Who is this Judas…?

DC Talk released a Christian Rap song years ago now called Jesus Freak. It is still one of my favorites. The second veres says

There was a man in the dessert with knots in his head The sand thhat he walked was also his bed. The words that he spoke made teh people assume there wasn’t tto much left in teh upper rrom. With skins on his back and hair on his face, they thought he was crazed by the locust he ate. The pharisees tripped when they heard him speak, until the king took the head of this Jesus Freak. I guess he is too freaky for the SCBSC!

Bill, I know you are correct, but it is truly scary that looking good, smelling good and sounding mean so much more than petty things like truth and love.
