Time For A Change In The South Carolina Baptist State Convention.
Richard Porter will be nominated for President of the S.C.Baptist State Convention in November.
Richard is Pastor of the Branchville Baptist Church in the Orangeburg-Calhoun Association.
Branchville Church is representative of over half the Baptist churches in the S.C.Baptist State Convention.
The average attendance in Sunday School at Branchville is 91.
There are 2,o62 churches in our State Convention.
1,100 of these churches average less than 91 in Sunday School attendance.
Isn’t it time that we had a President whose ministry and church represents over half of our churches in South Carolina?

I am a Clinton, SC boy at SEBTS pastoring one of Richard Porter’s former churches, Amis Chapel in Oxford, NC. It is a little larger than Branchville, averaging 72 in Sunday School and 120 in worship.
What do you think got this small church pastor nominated?

Gene,
I’m not sure what got Richard nominated.I do know what it will take to get him elected as President…more votes than the other candidate.
