Grudges,God and Forgiveness.

Matt.6:15.But if you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

How does the average  christian respond when they have been hurt by someone else.Do we forgive the offender or do we “hold” a grudge?

Most of the time we take that grudge:

1.And we “curse”it.I don’t deserve this. Why did this happen to me?

2.And we  “nurse” it.We take that grudge and put it in our laps and feed it.We pat it on the back until it burps. We rock it back and forth as we hold it tightly to our bosom. As we nurse it,it grows and grows. Now its not a baby anymore. The grudge is full grown.

3.And we “rehearse”it. We think about it during the day.Often times during the night we wake up and rehearse it.At first in our imagination the grudge was in black and white but now we vizualize it in living color and see it in 3-dimension.Over and over again we rehearse this full grown grudge.

4.And when we can take the pain no more we “disperse”it.This is what we should have done in the first place.

5.And we take  it to the Lord in prayer and He “reverses”it.Matt.6:15.FORGIVENESS
